He was the Closest to the Prophet in Character

Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud

When he was still a youth, not yet past the age of puberty, he used to roam the mountain trails ofMakkah far away from people, tending the flocks of a Quraysh chieftain, Uqbah ibn Muayt. People called him "Ibn Umm Abd"Ñthe son of the mother of a slave. His real name was Abdullah and his father's name was Mas'ud.

The youth had heard the news of the Prophet who had appeared among his people but he did not attach any importance to it both because of his age and because he was usually far away from Makkan society. It was his custom to leave with the flock of Uqbah early in the morning and not return until nightfall.

One day while tending the flocks, Abdullah saw two men, middle-aged and of dignified bearing, coming towards him from a distance. They were obviously very tired. They were also so thirsty that their lips and throat were quite dry.

They came up to him, greeted him and said, "Young man, milk one of these sheep for us that we may quench our thirst and recover our strength."

"I cannot," replied the young man. "The sheep are not mine. I am only responsible for looking after them."

The two men did not argue with him. In fact, although they were so thirsty, they were extremely pleased at the honest reply. The pleasure showed on their faces . . .

The two men in fact were the blessed Prophet himself and his companion, Abu Bakr Siddiq. They had gone out on that day to the mountains of Makkah to escape the violent persecution of the Quraysh. The young man in turn was impressed with the Prophet and his companion and soon became quite attached to them.

It was not long before Abdullah ibn Mas'ud became a Muslim and offered to be in the service of the Prophet. The Prophet agreed and from that day the fortunate Abdullah ibn Mas'ud gave up tending sheep in exchange for looking after the needs of the blessed Prophet.

Abdullah ibn Mas'ud remained closely attached to the Prophet. He would attend to his needs both inside and outside the house. He would accompany him on journeys and expeditions. He would wake him when he slept. He would shield him when he washed. He would carry his staff and his siwak (toothbrush) and attend to his other personal needs.

Abdullah ibn Mas'ud received a unique training in the household of the Prophet. He was under the guidance of the Prophet, he adopted his manner and followed his every trait until it was said of him, "He was the closest to the Prophet in character."

Abdullah was taught in the "school" of the Prophet. He was the best reciter of the Qur'an among the companions and he understood it better than them all. He was therefore the most knowledgeable on the Shariah. Nothing can illustrate this better than the story of the man who came to Umar ibn al-Khattab as he was standing on the plain of Arafat and said:

"I have come, O Amir al-Mu'mineen, from Kufah where I left a man filling copies of the Qur'an from memory."

Umar became very angry and paced up and down beside his camel, fuming.

"Who is he?" he asked.

"Abdullah ibn Masiud," replied the man.

Umar's anger subsided and he regained his composure.

"Woe to you," he said to the man. "By God, I don't know of any person left who is more qualified in this matter than he is. Let me tell you about this." Umar continued:

"One night the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, was having a conversation with Abu Bakr about the situation of Muslims. I was with them. When the Prophet left, we left with him also and as we passed through the mosque, there was a man standing in Prayer whom we did not recognise. The Prophet stood and listened to him, then turned to us and said, 'Whoever wants to read the Qur'an as fresh as when it was revealed, then let him read according to the recitation of Ibn Umm Abd.'

After the Prayer, as Abdullah sat making supplications, the Prophet, peace be on him, said, "Ask and it will be given to you. Ask and it will be given to you."

Umar continued: "I said to myself and I shall go to Abdullah ibn Mas'ud straight away and tell him the good news of the Prophet's ensuring acceptance of his supplications. I went and did so but found that Abu Bakr had gone before me and conveyed the good news to him. By God, I have never yet beaten Abu Bakr in the doing of any good."

Abdullah ibn Mas'ud attained such a knowledge of the Qur'an that he would say, "By Him besides Whom there is no god, no verse of the book of God has been revealed without my knowing where it was revealed and the circumstances of its revelation. By God, if I know there was anyone who knew more of the Book of Allah, I will do whatever is in my power to be with him."

Abdullah was not exaggerating in what he said about himself. Once Umar ibn al-Khattab met a caravan on one of his Journeys as caliph. It was pitch dark and the caravan could not be seen properly. Umar ordered someone to hail the caravan. It happened that Abdullah ibn Mas'ud was in it.

"From where do you come?" asked Umar.

"From a deep valley," came the reply.

"And where are you going?" asked Umar.

"To the ancient house," came the reply.

"There is a learned person (alim) among them," said Umar and he commanded someone to ask the person:

"Which part of the Qur'an is the greatest?"

" 'God. There is no god except Him, the Living, the Selfsubsisting. Neither slumber overtakes Him nor sleep,' " replied the person answering,

quoting the Ayat al-Kursi (the verse of the Throne).

"Which part of the Qur'an is the most clear on justice?"

" 'God commands what is just and fair, the feeding of relatives . . .' " came the answer.

"What is the most comprehensive statement of the Qur'an?"

" 'Whoever does an atom's weight of good shall see it, and whoever does an atom's weight of evil shall see it.' "

"Which part of the Qur'an gives rise to the greatest hope?"

" 'Say, O my servants who have wasted their resources, do not despair of the mercy of God. Indeed, God forgives all sins. He is the Forgiving, the Compassionate.' "

Thereupon Umar asked: "Is Abdullah ibn Masiud among you?"

"Yes, by God," the men in the caravan replied.

Abdullah ibn Mas'ud was not only a reciter of the Qur'an, a learned man or a fervent worshipper. He was in addition a strong and courageous fighter, one who became deadly serious when the occasion demanded it.

The companions of the Prophet were together one day in Makkah. They were still few in number, weak and oppressed. They said, "The Quraysh have not yet heard the Qur'an being recited openly and loudly. Who is the man who could recite it for them?"

"I shall recite it for them," volunteered Abdullah ibn Mas'ud.

"We are afraid for you," they said. "We only want someone who has a clan who would protect him from their..

"Let me," Abdullah ibn Mas'ud insisted, "Allah shall protect me and keep me away from their evil."

He then went out to the mosque until he reached Maqam Ibrahim (a few metres from the Ka'bah). It was dawn and the Quraysh were sitting around the Ka'bah. Abdullah stopped at the Maqam and began to recite:

" 'Bismillahir Rahmani-r Rahim. ArRahman. Allama-l | Qur'an. Khalaqa-l insan. Allamahu-l bayan . . .

(In the | name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful. The Merciful s God. He has taught the Qur'an. He has created man and taught him the clear truth . . .)' "

He went on reciting. The Quraysh looked at him intently and some of them asked:

"What is Ibn Umm Abd saying?"

"Damn him! He is reciting some of what Muhammad brought!" they realized.

They went up to him and began beating his face as he continued reciting. When he went back to his companions, the blood was flowing from his face.

"This is what we feared for you," they said.

"By God," replied Abdullah, "the enemies of God are not more comfortable than I at this moment. If you wish. I shall go out tomorrow and do the same."

"You have done enough," they said. "You have made them hear what they dislike."

Abdullah ibn Masiud lived to the time of Khalifah Uthman, may God be pleased with him. When he was sick and on his death-bed, Uthman came to visit him and said:

"What is your ailment?"

"My sins."

"And what do you desire?"

"The mercy of my Lord."

"Shall I not give you your stipend which you have refused to take for years now?"

"I have no need of it."

"Let it be for your doughters after you."

"Do you fear poverty for my children? I have commanded them to read Surah Al-Waqi'ah every night for I have heard the Prophet saying,

'Whoever reads Al-Waqi'ah every night shall not be effected by poverty ever.'"

That night, Abdullah passed away to the company of his Lord, his toughte moist with the rememberance of God and with the recitation of the verses of His Book.

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

All praises and thanks are to Allah for giving me another chance to feel the presence of Ramadhan. It's still fresh in my mind of the past years of Ramadhan. The ample time granted for me to recite the quran day long and searching of hadith and stories that never fails to amaze me. However, this year ramadhan, my weeks and time has been filled with school project. Oh how tired I am thinking of ways to solve the problems of my project which is only the budget and the final design.

But I'm sure, as my time has been made up for good use, I am not wasting time. Plus, I'm unwell with cough and flu but alhamdulillah it is a mercy from Allah and I accept it willingly.

As this new ramadhan has arrived, although time is a constraint for me, InsyaAllah I will do my best to occupy my times well and revise what I have left. Still, I won't neglect my rest as my rest falls on the time I sleep.

I hope my dear brothers and sisters are having a great Ramadhan! :D Cherish your time, take care of your time, fill your time with goodness and something that will benefits you. Even reading a book while in the bus, you will benefit from it.

I feel the need of time, I want more time and really more time for me to do my work. Now, appreciating time is clear to me. Like a saying 'Time is precious." I feel the urgent of using our times. Yes, we are humans who laze around too. We want our mind to be off the table and let it free. There are leisure activities that eases our mind. But a lazy mind, affect the body system and it affects our daily lifestyle.

I would like to share with you the experiences I had. I let myself a day, letting my mind to keep saying "I'll do it later.." and the next thing I know, I forgot to do it.

Then another day, I told myself that I won't say later for today and made a comparison with yesterday. Every time I feel like delaying my work, I told myself I won't get it done if I were to say later. And alhamdulillah it's a different feeling, I feel more energetic and consistent in my work.

You see, our brain has the power to control the body. Like when you're in a cross country, you know it's a long distance and your body starts to give up soon, but if you keep reminding yourself, I won't be a quitter and I will finish the race cos I started the race. InsyaAllah you will end the race with a great sigh of relief and you will be happy that you actually rid that laze in you.

The killer of a human lifestyle is laziness. This laziness resides in the mind of a person who loves to delay their work. It is like a disease that will empowered your body when you laze around. When you don't feel the urgency, you're body actually slows you down.

Be aware of it and this is also a reminder to me.

Allah knows best and may we make full use of our time well. Aamiin.

Crude Understanding and Disbelief.

When you drop a glass or a plate to the ground it makes a crashing sound.

When a window shatters, a table breaks or when a picture falls it makes a noise.

But as for your heart, When it breaks, it's completely silent. You would think as it's so important it would make the loudest noise in the whole world or would at have some sort of ceremonious sound like the gong or of a cymbal or the ringing of the bell.

But it's silent and you almost wish there was a noise to distract you from all the pain.

Then we all choose to cry.

The urge to shed tears is one of the troubles emotionalism brings. This urge rests on no rational grounds, however. There is simply no reason for it. Ignorant people, especially women believe that crying is simply a fundamental need like eating, sleeping and drinking.

Why do we choose to cry then ?

We rely on weeping as a relief provider.

Above and over this , the negative and desperate outlook of ignorant people is a factor prompting them to cry. With this outlook, they find a reason to cry. Rather then to solve problems or eliminate the likely causes that leads him or her to grief, they prefer only to weep.

Tho to cry in this society does not mean you are weak willed or helpless. Plus nobody can blame a person for breaking down. But crying has become so common and it has become almost conventional to weep. From graduation ceremonies and weddings to failure and heartbreaks.

People who 'know' (note the emphasis ) about the goodness of crying believe that is a strong weapon to use in particular situations. This is like a so totally insincere way to obtain something they want. Like sympathy or just... things :B

Ok yeah so yeah I cannot deny that I too, cry. Im not trying to say that if you cry you're so hopeless and weak and stuffs like that. But I believe that crying is something that should not actually be 'normal' to us. Especially to women. The male image is associated with "not crying". Contrary to this image, women are encouraged to cry. -_____________-

Like what, women are generally weak so they cry alot. Like that hor ? I do not agree D:< .

But please don't get me wrong that I'm saying it's bad for you to cry even when you pray or read the Holy Quran or repent or think of god etc ! Crying in that situation is totally a different thing. It's good to cry when you remember Allah :')

Alhamdulillah.

Life has been great. Truly, I feel that my life is filled with content, love and calm. It's the heart I'm emphasizing. You know, it's true that what my dad told me, "To be a bad person, it's easy, with just a blink you can be a bad person. But to be a good person, it takes time, patience, and perseverance to be one. So start from small."

I'm growing a year older each year. And when am I gonna be better? Like a saying, "If you think your good, be better."

Everyone wants to be a better person and not be bad, but you know what's holding you back? It's the nafs(the temptations, lust, temporary pleasure) that keeps you holding and always pull you back when you're at the peak of changing.

My advice that I keep telling myself is, let's start from small. Start cutting out slowly with the bad habits you have. Even for me, I still do have my bad habits to stop. Well you can't exactly rid it but you can slowly stop it. And one important point is, never ever leave your prayers. Always make supplication and invoke to Allah for guidance.

He is the All-Hearer and The Oft-Forgiving.

So let's be a better people, ummah and Muslim alright?

May Allah guide us and lead us to the straight path and to be amongst the righteous ones. Aamiin.

You may never look at a cup of coffee the same way again..

This wonderful inspiring story about the carrot, egg and coffee beans, has inspired me to share with you. A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as though just as one problem was solved, a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to a boil.

In the first, she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil, without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.
Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see."

"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.

Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did, and noted that they were soft.

The mother then asked the daughter to take the egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg.

Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee.

The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma.
The daughter then asked, "What does it mean, mother?"

Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently.

The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak.

The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened.

The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.
"Which are you?" she asked her daughter.

"When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?"
Think of this: Which am I?

Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, ... but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and a hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you.

When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity?
Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

You might want to send this message to those people who mean something to you (I JUST DID); to those who have touched your life in one way or another; to those who make you smile when you really need it; to those who make you see the brighter side of things when you are really down; to those whose friendship you appreciate; to those who are so meaningful in your life.

Peace to all Martians and Robots and Aliens!

All praises and thanks to Allah that I feel much lighter than yesterday. I was struck with a mood I wouldn't want to feel. A mood that will affect me and others. That is the "SHUT DOWN" mood makes me lose my mood to talk, easily annoyed and will just move with a unwilling heart.

And what's worst is when you don't know what turns you down. But fret not, I know this is just a temporary feeling. After a good sleep and self-reflection I'm back on my feet!

And today is my younger brother birthday! :D

HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY MUHAMMAD HAFIZ!!

May Allah bless you and grant you a blessing life little brother. :D

Aamiin.

You've been a good brother, one who stands for justice and one who likes to share knowledge. The firmness of you is like a lion roar when one offends your love ones. Your speech convinced others to listen to you. And you're a person who doesn't show his softness to others but deep inside resides a soft heart that only Allah knows best.

As you grow older, I pray to Allah that slowly you drop the deeds that you know is bad for you. And may you have a blissful life. InsyaAllah. :)

And I still remember that dad always tells us to fight for our family's right. To protect and to fight strong and defense like a human barrier and not let even a single gap or crack on the wall when one tries to pull us down. To always be there for one another and support each others back in times of hardship and happiness. Truly, our siblings are our strength in the family and one who will never leave you in times in need.

If you are having trouble in getting your siblings together, fret not, cos what you lack off is to understand them. But you need to be the one who initiate and also be in great patience when they are responding you in a harsh way, just smile and approached him in a polite manner. Even though, your heart is trembling with rage as you had approached him nicely yet he said such vulgar to you. Be patience. It helps. :)

In their heart resides pain, anger and wrath which makes them sensitive and always explodes when you yourself explodes first. It's like a continuous explosion. So be patience, cos all they need is you to hear them first, understand them first. Listen to their sorrows, what made them be that way. Humans are peaceful creatures but something or its surrounding that makes him be a ruthless one. So first, understand them well. Be a good listener of how you are to your friends.

Then, they will slowly open up to you and talk to you like how you deserve. I've done it and shared this with friends and alhamdulillah it works. :)

Don't forget to pray to Allah to help you to help them and also to soften their hearts so that they will be easily approached and be amongst the patient ones.

I hope this will be a learning journey in getting to know others well as for us as a human to learn to be loving and not a wrath creatures.

Tomorrow will be the day I'm starting work. Oh my, it's been a while since I last work at John Little. And honestly, I forgot some of the functions. :X

But fret not! I'll catch up with it, and it's a pm shift. Gosh, I wish it's am, so I can end early and off to home. Now, I'll be waiting for last bus or train to home. :S That's really tiring, like really tiring me up.

But hopefully, new colleagues will be friendly and fun to talk too! :D

Inspiration

There is a boy, Haizad, who leads a simple life but he has a rich dream. Born with a united heart family and since little he learn the term of hardship. To earn not by just asking for it, but work for it. It’s not a child labor but he earns it by doing well in his studies.

His dad is a hard worker. He would do anything for his children. In his mind, all he prioritized is his children’s needs. Whatever he do it, he do it for the sake of his children. He always reminds his children to not be like him. He doesn’t want them to live the way he used to live.

He shared his stories…

“When I was at your age, I work before I go to school. Carrying a basket filled with curry puffs and kuih muih, shouting around the villages, ‘Kuih Kuih! Curry puff! Curry puff!’ Who doesn’t know the boy who sells curry puff and kuih muih. Your grandma’s kuih muih and curry puffs are known around the villages you know.

And last time, my life was difficult, who else is going to help grandma if not us? Who else is going to give us pocket money if we don’t help grandma? It was really difficult and I didn’t get to pursue my studies further. Grandma had to support us seven siblings altogether by herself. Each of us had to take turns every morning and when we’re home from school at night we have to prepare the ingredients for tomorrow sell.

We realized our fate of living; therefore, we siblings are the strength to endure each day’s perseverance. Like a saying, ‘When we are one, we are unbreakable. But if one is down, then we are breakable.’ This is our strength throughout the years and up till today. We are one heart and always take initiatives. If we see the house is in a mess, don’t wait for others to do it, you just do it. Cos remember, it is your house and you won’t lose anything if you were to do it. You’re energy is not wasted but appreciated. And we must always help each other regardless in need or not because we are family.”

Haizad learnt not only the values of life but the moral of living in this life is not easy. He keeps reminding himself that life is not a time to waste with carefree mind but to live it to the fullest.

His mother once told him about how’s dad at work and he sat and listened attentively that in his mind, it was playing about how his dad is at work.

“You’re father is very stubborn at times, he wanted to work for two shifts a day. He wanted to work from 8am to 1pm then from 3pm to 1am. I’m worried about him at times. Well, he’s doing it for his children; he would go extra miles for them for his children education needs. I’ve always wanted to change the spoilt washer but still your dad keep on saying the same old song, “wait”.

Why? Because he is saving the money to buy for your sister’s laptop and her school needs. Then he will buy the washer. Still, it is not enough yet. Even during his off days, he will work. He asked for O.T. He will only take an off day when his children are on school holidays. He works like a machine just for his children needs. When you are out in a camp, he is the one who misses his children more. He says “It is odd isn’t it? One of our children is not here with us, I wonder if they have eaten or not. I wonder if they are sleeping in comfort. I wonder.”

Your dad’s dream is to see his children be successful in life. What we have for you is not wealth, but education is what our might is to give you. So do well in your study that’s the only way to show your gratitude to his hard work.

Do you know that when you and your siblings get into Polytechnic tertiary schools, he was the happiest man that he shared with his team at work? When you achieved something at school he will praised his children and only God knows how happy he is. Cos he knows what he has been striving for is fruitful.

So don’t take it to heart when you dad keeps reminding you about studies and the future are difficult. He wants the best for you and he works hard for you and your siblings.

Bu his arm starting to hurt, I’m worried it may get worst. I and your dad have been working hard since we are young, younger than you. We know how tough life is then, that is why we don’t want our children to face the same. We want our children to live in convenience. We care for you more than we care for ourselves. We love you more and when we worries, that means we don’t want to let even a thorn nears you. That is how strong our love is for our children. Our children are our only pearls of life.”

Upon hearing what she has said, Haizad reflected how enduring and how fury the love of his dad is, yet at times children tend to take for granted of their kindness and love. Some felt ashamed when the parents being too protective in front of the friends. Or when a mother wanted to give a kiss to the son and he might be ashamed with his friends, afraid to be called “Mummy’s boy.”

So Haizad think through, why some children should feel that way whereas their parents have been supportive and always pray the goodness for them? Indeed it is rather sad to see some children segregating from the family. Especially when they are rude to their parents, they forgotten the respect for the elderly.

“And your Lord has commanded that you shall not serve (any) but Him, and goodness to your parents. If either or both of them reach old age with you, say not to them (so much as) "Ugh" nor chide them, and speak to them a generous word.”

(Surah Al Isra’; 17:23)

He hopes and prays that they soon realized how precious being one with a family is.

In life, there are so many things to learn, observe, realized, to think, to experience, to love and to value what has been set for us and created around us. But surely what Haizad won’t forget what his parents have always told him to keep in mind is to never forget God, Allah (Glorious and Exalted is He), and don’t miss his prayers and supplications.

“Remember Me, I will remember you, and be thankful to Me”

(Surah Al Baqarah; 2:152)

Alhamdulillah, I'm doing good and I'm sick.

I think right, it's because sleeping in the bus 'donggak' and then you get a neck CRAMPED!

It's been such a long time since I last blog. :X

So how's life for me? Alhamdulillah, it's been great.

Life has been better and it's been wonderful, with great friends around but it's holidays now. Sadly, I don't really favor holidays. I don't like to let time pass just like that. Well I do do something, like reading the books I got from Erkam publication books regarding Islamic.

Guess what? I asked my sister for her biology book, and I did research and studies on 'How the eyes work' and 'Skin'. Weird? I don't think so.

There are so much to do, yet I can only focus it at night. That's the problem with me. But, fret not Hairul, cos time is too precious to be wasted and let it pass empty handed.

So now, I'm here posting a post about being sick.

Insha'allah I will get well soon. Aamiin.

I would like to share these two beautiful hadiths of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) has said if you get sick, be thankful and accept it as a blessing from Allah.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet(May Allah bless him and grant him peace) said,

"Whenever a Muslim is afflicted by harm from sickness or other matters, Allah will drop his sins because of that, like a tree drops its leaves."

(Sahih Bukhari and Muslim)

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) said,

" The amount of reward is in accordance with the amount of suffering. When Allah loves some people, He tries them (with affliction). He who then is content (with Allah's decree) has achieved the acceptance (of Allah), and he who is dissatisfied (with Allah's decree) will attain the anger (of Allah).

(At-Tirmidhi)

I keep telling my family that I can't wait to be 20. Weird I know.

I still remember those little times of mine. When I was toddler, I love to chase oranges. It rolls and I chase after it. Like a cat chasing over a thread ball. There's a picture of me smiling widely with two missing front tooth and oranges around me. Gag.

Those little moments, I'm very naughty. My favorite routine is to push people down the stairs at my grandma house. I know I'm being mischievous but can't blame me I was little very very little. But I learnt my mistake when it happened to me. Ouch.

The first time I celebrated my birthday with my friends was in 2005. It was at the mosque right after Jummuah prayers. We stayed a little longer and they surprised me with a self made book. Whereby all the wishes are written and pictures of those time we took together. And the most touching part was when they handed me the present. I've never got a birthday present before from friends. And that was the only time when I had my first birthday celebration with my friends. It was indeed a heartfelt. I was moved. I was holding my tears and eventually I cried. I was so touched cos silly Zul told me and discourage me not to buy the Bluetooth adapter. Cos he wanted to buy me that for my birthday. He kept telling me that it's not good, not worth, waste of money and blablablablaa. Since he's my best buddy in school, I listened to him.

Those memories we had are still fresh.

Yesterday, I received a text message from a far away friend, Nurathifah! She texted me from Cairo, Egypt! Thank you athi boom boom chak!

And Zaqia said something that is meaningful about birthday. Cos to me, I don't really mind if people forget about it or so. She said, '..when someone remembers your birthday can makes you happy, cos people actually remembers your existence.'

Salam 'alaik!

I've something to share with you. It's about the Khusyu' in our prayers.

I believe many of us may have experience this during our prayers. When we are about to meet Allah, talk to Allah, something will pop out in our mind. Telling us that we forgot to do this and that. Or what we gonna do later. Believe me that is shaitan whispering to you.

Isn't it weird, it only happens when you are praying? You are reciting, yet your heart and mind are not khusyu'. You tend to think of the world than really focusing and concentrating in your prayers.

Why do we pray? Why? Is it just for the sake of accomplishing it? To ease the heart that you just fulfilling the obligatory? Well, that is not right. The Shalah is the greatest moment for us to connect to Allah, to seek His forgiveness, seeking his refuge, guidance and etc. We are talking to Him. Just Him Alone.

Therefore my Brothers and Sisters, I would to share with you this hadiths, about a devil, this one devil is always with us in our prayers to disturb us and whisper us to lead us astray from our focus in our prayers. It's name is Khinzib.

" Uthman ibn Abi Al-’Aas once came to the Messenger of Allah, saying, “O Messenger of Allah!

Satan has confused me and has prevented me from attending (or concentrating on) my prayer

and my reading (meaning reciting the Quran while praying).”

The Messenger of Allah said, “That is a devil called Khinzib. When you feel his presence,

seek refuge with Allah from him and blow to your left side thrice.”

Uthman then said, “I did that, and Allah then saved me from that devil.” [Muslim]. "

Remember to seek refuge in Allah whenever a whisper in your heart that tells you to do bad deeds. Insya'allah Allah is always protecting you. For He Alone we worship, He Alone we seek for help.

Allah is with you.

Let's talk about 'Love'.

When I look at young loving couple, I felt the miss of having a special one in life. Well, who doesn't right? But what does love really means? Only the happy moments you enjoyed feeling it? Or also the bitterness of the argument that makes you feel insecure? The lovely heartfelt words you expressed? Or is it only about love love love? Is there any more than that?

For me, if I were to love again, I would love to feel not only the love but also the closeness of having a friend who will listen and cry with me. All of us wants that. But at times, some of us actually left that out. What we afraid of is losing that one person, and what we could think of is to make the person happy and always happy.

But does only happiness can make one closer to you?

If for me, happiness just won't make one closer, but it'll just leave a good moments to smile on. What makes me feel the closeness is when you talk to me about your sorrows, your stress, your happy moments with friends, your silly moments and basically your ups and downs in life. The way you being yourself, that is what really matters.

Why is this important?

So that there won't be any hesitation. Believe me, there are people who out there afraid to be themselves, cos they just wanna impress you and not making a fool of themselves so that you won't run away.

What do you really look for?

I look for a relationship like this.

That is what I really look for. Someone I can team up with to shoot all the bad guys! HAHAHA! NOT!

I don't know about you aliens, but I would like to have

a person who is like Angelina Joline in stunts! Who is ready for action! Who can jump higher than me but must be shorter than me. XD

To sing along with me, to laugh with me, to be crazy like me, to debate with me, to swing the guitar at me when I'm being a retarded lame. Throw pillows at me at night when I stink, to push me off the bed and chase her in the house with cream. Messing up the kitchen , poke her while she asleep, and ended up in embrace.

Isn't it sweet to think about this, your dream girl/boy, what you expect from the person, what you want to happen, what you foresee in the relationship. Well, not all we planned run accordingly. Like a saying,'We plan it, but God decide it.'

When you really feel the break down of the relationship, don't just keep quiet, but tell the truth of what you're feeling, he/she will listen. Cos both of you wouldn't wanna lose the love. But if at times, the reason of the break up is beyond your will, it's better not to say it but hoping that he/she will understand you indirectly.

The bitter of love is what makes one be closer to another. As you fall, you will make another stand, to continue what you've stop. It'll be a better trip than before, cos you learnt something and realized what you lack of. That makes you stronger. And stronger that you feel like piggyback her. I wish my girlfriend piggyback me. HAHAHA!

But most importantly, when you confess love, you must really be sincere of what you are confessing, it is not for the beauty but for the companion being with her/his, the way he/she treated you. The way he/she is being true to you. The sincerity he shows visibly and not. The way he is, the imperfection of his that makes him perfect in your eyes. The care he shows to you. And the knowledge that he possessed that can lead you for a better live.

A love you can bring along even at your golden age, is what I call an 'Undying love'.

Which direction will you choose?

Success or failure?

I supposed all of us want success right? But what is the key to success?

The key to success is not actually by studying hard, smart, and keen in it. The key to success is actually loving the subject, despite knowing that the subject may be such a bore to you, or a subject that kills you a lot, just love em guys! And also the first step to success is actually fall! You fall and don't wept like a cry baby if a person looks down on you. The truth is ugly! HAHAHA Got that from Ugly truth, but its true guys, Seriously, not all humans are born with such direct loving personality, they are the people who I label as "Love is mean people"

The way they show their concern is by harsh words that actually will demoralized you but the fact is they are motivating you, but of course the wrong way. But too bad, they are born in a life they used to live with their forefathers. We all know that the olden days and the modern lifestyle is different. But look at the modern life, what we are amiss from the term hardship. A hardship

that one should feel and take it as a booster in life to work harder in life!

Why not you take the challenge to actually show them that you can do it! Instead of saying, I'm trying, I'm trying, don't try! Stop trying and just do it! Yes just do it like how Nike says it!

First, you know that you are at falling state, well you are already falling! That's good, but the consequences are hearing the nagging, the demoralize words from your parents. You wanna know why they nag and disappointed with you? It's because they work their ass off to feed you clothes, pocket money, transport money, bags, books, living, schooling and almost everything you want they give it to you!

But what did you give it back to them? Nothing! Parents want you to do well in school! That's all!

What they wanna see from you is their children being successful in life. They doesn't wanna see you drowning in life, cos the FUTURE IS NOT EASY! Get this in your head!

Seriously, have you seen your parents work? Have you ever thought of it? Have you ever put yourself in their shoes? Have you ever have a minute thoughts about why they nag at you? Besides thinking about they are looking down at you, think why they nag?

It's your fault thats why they nag! Look, some parents will look down at you and not giving such moral support, cos they don't want it to be like a,"Masuk telinga kanan, keluar telinga kiri." Yes they are at fault too, cos some words of motivation will hype us up. But be surprised, some children will say, 'Alaa I know la I know..'

So guys, if your parents nag at you, hug em and say,'I love you, Dad, mum, for nagging me, i know you love me.' Just say something like this to them.

3 steps to apologize!

1) Tell them your sorry

2) Tell them the truth

3) Ask them how you can make it right to them?

That really shows how sincerity you are. I learnt this from Randy Paush.

After you fall in the deep blue sea of tears you have shed, what is your second step?

PICK YOURSELF UP!

What do you do to pick yourself up? Breathe in and just close your eyes and see yourself, making your parents smiling, by showing them that you are not going to disappoint them again.

How? First you need to really love your enemy! That is your most hated subject, put in much interest in it, if you don't know? ASK! ASK YOUR TEACHER! THEY WILL HELP YOU!

Second, STOP SKIPPING SCHOOL! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO SKIP SCHOOL LIKE AS IF IT'S A FREE SCHOOL! DON'T YOU FEEL GRATEFUL THAT YOU ARE FORTUNATE TO BE IN SCHOOL. THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO WANTS TO BE IN SCHOOL BUT DUE TO THEIR STATE THEY CAN'T SO CAN YOU STOP BEING BEING BEING SUCH AN ARROGANT PUPIL AND NOT WANTING TO GO TO SCHOOL.

If you say that the teacher is boring, oh let me tell you, you are more boring! Cos you bore yourself to death that you pointed others are boring. Look, not all will get a fantasy teacher, but you need to understand them, you need to work with them. Let me tell you, I love strict teachers cos when you really work with them, you see they are the most loving teacher and have great sense of love towards their students, at the end of the day you will be jumping with joy cos you have great ace and you will remember that strict teacher actually changes your life. But the fact is, you did it.

So stop pointing others fault! And don't blame your parents or teachers if they look down on you or scolding you. Cos you have been skipping school. You think its cool? It's effing not! Seriously it's not! You're just wasting your life! Don't you want to learn something in life? Or just wasting your time out there with your friends who just wants to have fun?

Let me tell you something that will eventually be a hurtful one, but the truth is ugly!

True friends are friends who will ask you out to study and do something good, they may not be the nerdy geeky ones but the beautiful ones who cares about your future too. They want to see success in you and together no jealous of barrier amongst each other. Hey there are some people who will say, 'I know you're cleverer than me and bla bla bla..'

Let me give you a clear picture, do you want your life to be like this in 10 years time or you want to see yourself with a career? Think about it!

So I've touched on the 2 steps of the fall and the rise. Now the last step, if you want to be on top, you have to walk your way to the thick and thin forest, climb the mountains and above the clouds you will find your place to flag high your happiness.

The last thing to do is, don't do it for your own, but also for your parents. You are happy, you're parents are happy too. Whenever I think about my parents, having the hard time raising me up to give my every needs, my wants and my life, I just burst into tears. They sacrifice their time mostly at work to financially support me and they spend their time in any ways to support you. But if you already giving up on yourself, how can they not give up on you?

It's not hard to study, it's easy, yes it may be boring and stuff, then make it fun, maths is fun you know seriously, you have to play with it. Science is a killer to memorize, but its amusing when you get to experiment it. English is a language killer, but if you practice it verbally, you can make it.

What's so hard in life? What is it? Ask people who are working out there or those drop outs or anyone who is not schooling right now. Ask them, if you are given an opportunity to study, would you like to study or do what you are doing now? I've asked them, and mostly wants to study.

In a few years to come, I will be doing my services and then perhaps pursuing my studies in Uni, insya'allah if i get an opportunity, indeed I want to, and then working lifestyle.

My friends, brothers, sisters and aliens, please don't waste your life by thinking about fun fun fun. It won't lead you to no where. Yes you can have fun, but after you've done your homework and revision? If you reached home and felt tired to study,

DON'T STUDY! COS YOU'RE TIRED!

Just take a break, play the net and etc or sleep! Then you get back on your butt on that chair and start doing your work. I believe that each of us wants success and not failure in life. Cos our life is only once, but our opportunity comes like a golden chance. So don't waste it okay! :D

Lastly, if you want a better atmosphere at home, start building it and make it happen like magic.

I have been studying about this matter for quite some time and I reflect back to the Israk and Mikraj of our beloved Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam from Kaabah, Baitullah in Makkah al Mukarramah to the Masjidil Al Aqsa in Baitulmaqdis.

We have all studied and learned from the Hadiths of our Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam about the manner by which the Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam was taken by Jibreel Alaihis Salam, the Archangel of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala through the Heavens to Allah’s Presence.

Of all the prophets, our Prophet, Muhammad, was blessed with the most miracles. Al-Isra’ and al-Mi’raj are among the many miracles of Prophet Muhammad.

The miracle of al-Isra’ is confirmed in the Qur’an. In Surat al-Isra’, Ayah 1, Allah said:

which means: [Praise be to Allah Who enabled His slave, Muhammad, to make the journey at night from Masjid al-Haram in Makkah to Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem, which is surrounded a blessed land.] This journey is also confirmed in the sahih hadith. As such, there is scholarly consensus (ijma^) Prophet Muhammad journeyed in body and soul the night of al-Isra’ from Masjid al-Haram in Makkah to Masjid al-Aqsain Jerusalem. Moreover, these scholars indicated the person who denies al-Isra’ is a blasphemer for belying the explicit text of the Qur’an.

Before the Prophet took this night journey, the ceiling of the house in which he was staying was opened, and Jibril descended. He cut open the chest of Prophet Muhammad and washed that open area with Zamzam water. Then he emptied something from a container into the chest of the Prophet to increase his wisdom as well as the strength of his belief. This was done to prepare the Messenger of Allah for that which he had yet to see in the upper world from among the wonders of the creation of Allah.

Al-Isra’

After the Prophet performed the Evening Prayer (^Isha’), Jibril came to him with a white animal, slightly larger than a donkey yet smaller than a mule. This animal was the Buraq,–one of the animals of Paradise.

Jibril held the buraq by his ear and told the Prophet to mount it. When the buraq was mounted, the Prophet set forth.

The buraq is a very fast animal; the length of the buraq’s stride is the farthest distance it’s eye can see. The Prophet and Jibril arrived to a land with palm trees. Jibril told the Prophet to dismount and pray, so the Prophet dismounted the buraq and prayed two rak^as. Jibril asked him, “Do you know where you prayed?” and the Prophet answered, “Allah knows best.” Jibril told him, “This is Yathrib; this is Taybah. “.” (These are two names for the city of al-Madinah.) Before the Prophet emigrated to al-Madinah, it was called Taybah and Yathrib. It earned the name al-Madinah after the Prophet emigrated to it.

The buraq continued with the Prophet and Jibril until they reached another place. Again Jibril told the Prophet to get down and pray. The Prophet dismounted there and prayed two rak’as. Jibril informed the Prophet of the name of that place; it was Tur Sina’.

Once again the buraq took off with the Prophet and Jibril. Once again it stopped, and the Prophet dismounted and prayed two rak^as. This was in Bayt Lahm, where Prophet ^Isa (Jesus) was born. Then the buraq continued with the Messenger of Allah until they entered the city of Jerusalem. There the Prophet went to Masjid al-Aqsa. Outside was a ring used by the Messengers of Allah to tie their animals. The Prophet tied his buraq to this ring. Then the Prophet entered the masjid where Allah assembled for him all the Prophets–from Adam to Isa. Prophet Muhammad moved forward and led them all in prayer. This is an indication the Prophet is higher in status than all the rest of the prophets and messengers.

1- On Prophet Muhammad’s journey from Masjid al-Haram to Masjid al-Aqsa, Allah enabled him to see some of His wondrous creations. Allah enabled the Prophet to see the world (dunya) like an old woman. However, this old woman was wearing a great deal of jewelry, and in this there is an indication signifying the reality of the world.

2- Allah enabled the Prophet to see Iblis. The Prophet saw something on the side of the road which did not dare to stand in his way or speak to him. What the Prophet saw was Iblis. Originally, Iblis was a believer and lived with the angels in Paradise. When Allah ordered the angels to prostrate (sujud) to Prophet Adam, Iblis was ordered to prostrate to him as well. The angels prostrated to Adam in obedience to Allah, because angels do not disobey Allah. However, Iblis did not obey, and he objected to the order of Allah. He said, “You created me out of fire, and You created him out of clay. How do You order me to prostrate to him?” So this objection by Iblis to the order of Allah was the first blasphemy he committed.

3- On his journey, the Prophet smelled a very nice odor. He asked Jibril about this pleasant scent and Jibril informed him this good smell was coming from the grave of the woman whose duty used to be to comb Pharaoh’s daughter’s hair.

This woman was a good, pious believer. One day, as she was combing Pharaoh’s daughter’s hair, the comb fell from her hand. At this she said, “Bismillah.” Pharaoh’s daughter asked her, “Do you have a god other than my father?” The woman said, “Yes. My Lord and the Lord of your father is Allah.”

Pharaoh’s daughter told her father what had happened. Pharaoh demanded this woman blaspheme and leave Islam, but she refused. At that, Pharaoh threatened to kill her children. He brought a great pot of water and built a great fire under it.

When the water boiled, Pharaoh brought her children and started to drop them into that pot one after the other.

Throughout all this, the woman remained steadfast to Islam, even when Pharaoh reached her youngest child–a little boy still breast feeding–but she felt pity for him. At that, Allah enabled this child to speak.

He said to his mother, “O Mother, be patient. The torture of the Hereafter is far more severe than the torture of this life, and do not be reluctant, because you are right.”

At this the woman requested Pharaoh collect her bones and the bones of her children and bury them in the same grave.

Pharaoh promised her that–then dropped her into that boiling water. She died as a martyr. The good odor the Prophet smelled coming from her grave is an indication of her high status.

4- During his trip, the Prophet saw people who were planting and reaping in two days. Jibril told the Prophet, “These were the people who fight for the sake of Allah (mujahidun).

5- The Prophet also saw people whose lips and tongues were clipped with scissors made of fire.Jibril told the Prophet, “These are the speakers of sedition (fitna) who call people to misguidance.”

6- He also saw a bull which exited a very small outlet, then was trying in vain to return through that small outlet. Jibril told the Prophet, “This is the example of the bad word–once spoken, it cannot be returned.”

7- The Prophet saw people grazing like animals, with very little clothing on their private parts.Jibril told the Prophet, “These are the ones who refused to pay zakat. “.

8- The Prophet saw angels smashing some people’s heads with rocks. These heads would return to the shape they had been, and then the angels would smash their heads again–and so on. Jibril told the Prophet, “These are the ones whose heads felt too heavy to perform prayer–the ones who used to sleep without praying.”

9- On his journey the Prophet saw people who were competing to eat some rotten meat–ignoring meat that was sliced and unspoiled. Jibril told the Prophet, “These are people from your nation who leave out that which is permissible (halal), and consume that which is forbidden ((haram). “This reference was to the fornicators, that is, the ones who left out the permissible (marriage) and committed sins (fornication).

10- Also, the Prophet saw people who were drinking from the fluid coming from the bodies of the fornicators, (water mixed with blood). Jibril indicated to the Prophet these were the ones who were drinking the alcohol which is prohibited in this world.

11- The Prophet saw people scratching their faces and chests with brass finger nails. Jibril said,“These are the examples of those who commit gossip ((ghibah).

Al-Mi’raj

1- After the Prophet took this night journey from Masjid al-Haram to Masjid al-Aqsa, he ascended to the upper heavens. The Prophet ascended to the heaven on stairs, called al-mirqat, in which one step is made of gold and the next of silver, and so on. These stairs are veiled from us.

The Prophet ascended these stairs until he reached the first heaven. When the Prophet and Jibril arrived at the first heaven, Jibril requested the gate to be opened.

The angel assigned to that gate asked Jibril, “Who is with you?” Jibril answered, “It is Muhammad.”

The angel asked Jibril, “Was he dispatched? Is it time for him to ascend to the heaven?” Jibril said, “Yes.” So, the gate was opened for him, and Prophet Muhammad entered the first heaven.

There, Prophet Muhammad saw Prophet Adam. To Adam’s right, the Prophet saw some bodies, and to Adam’s left, other bodies.

If Adam would look to his right he would laugh, and if he would look to his left he would cry. Adam was seeing the souls of his descendants. Those on his right were his descendants who would die as believers and those on his left were his descendants who would die as non-believers.

Then the Prophet ascended to the second heaven. In this second heaven was where Prophet Muhammad saw Prophets Isa and Yahya. Isa and Yahya are cousins; their mothers were sisters. They welcomed the Prophet and made supplication (du’a) for him for good things.

The Prophet ascended to the third heaven, where he found Prophet Yusuf. Prophet Yusuf was extremely handsome. Allah bestowed half the beauty on Yusuf. Yusuf received the Prophet with a warm welcome and made supplication (du’a') for him for good things.

Then the Prophet ascended to the fourth heaven, where he found Prophet Idris. Idris welcomed the Prophet and made supplication (du’a') for him for good things.

In the fifth heaven, the Prophet encountered Harun, the brother of Prophet Musa.

In the sixth heaven, he encountered Prophet Musa. Each of these Prophets received Prophet Muhammad with a warm welcome and made supplication (du’a) for him for good things.

Then the Prophet ascended to the seventh heaven, and that is where our Messenger saw Prophet Ibrahim. Prophet Ibrahim is the best of the prophets after our prophet, Muhammad.

The Prophet saw Prophet Ibrahim with his back against al-Bayt al-Ma’mur.

To the inhabitants of the skies, al-Bayt al-Ma’mur is like the Ka’bah is to us, the inhabitants of the earth.

Every day 70,000 angels go there; then exit from it, and never return. The next day another 70,000 angels go, come out, and never return. This will continue until the Day of Judgment. In this, there is an indication as to the greatness of the numbers of the angels–their numbers are far more than the numbers of the humans and the jinns together.

In the seventh heaven, Prophet Muhammad saw Sidrat al-Muntaha–a very big tree of sidr. Each of the fruits of this tree is as large as a big jar. The leaves of this tree are similar to the ears of the elephants. Sidrat al-Muntaha is an extremely beautiful tree. It is visited by butterflies made of gold. When these butterflies gather on this tree, its beauty is beyond description.

Then the Prophet ascended to what is beyond the seven skies; he entered Paradise. He saw examples of the inhabitants of Paradise and how their situation would be. He saw most of the inhabitants of Paradise are the poor people .

The Prophet saw other things on the night of his ascension. He saw Malik, the angel in charge of the Hellfire. Malik did not smile at the Prophet when he saw him, and the Prophet asked why. In answer to the Prophet’s question, Jibril said, “Malik did not smile since the day Allah created him. Had he smiled for anyone, he would have smiled for you.”

In Paradise, the Prophet saw some of the bounties Allah prepared for the inhabitants of Paradise. He saw the Hurul-Ain: females Allah created who are not humans or jinn. They are in Paradise and will be married to those men Allah willed them to marry.

The Prophet saw the wildan ul-mukhalladun: creations of Allah who are not human, jinn, or angels. They are a very beautiful creation of Allah whose appearance is like laid-out pearls.

They are servants of the inhabitants of Paradise. The least in status of the People of Paradise will have 10,000 wildan ul-mukhalladun to serve him. Each one of them would carry a tray of gold in one hand and a tray of silver in the other hand.

The Prophet saw the Throne (Arash), which is the ceiling of Paradise. The Throne is the largest creation of Allah in size; Allah did not create anything bigger in size than it.

The seven heavens and the earth in comparison to the Kursiyy, are like a ring thrown in a desert, and the Kursiyy in comparison to the Throne, is like a ring thrown in a desert.

The seven heavens and the earth in comparison to the Throne are like a seed of mustard compared to the ocean. Allah created the Throne as a sign of His Power and He did not create the Throne to sit on it.

Allah created the Throne to show His Power. It is carried by four angels, and on the Day of Judgment, it will be carried by eight.

The Prophet said he was permitted to speak about one of these angels who carry the Throne.

In describing this angel, the Prophet told us the distance between his ear lobe and shoulder is the distance a fast-flying bird would cover in 700 years.

Then the Prophet ascended beyond Paradise. He reached a place where he heard the creaking of the pens used by the angels who are copying from the Preserved Tablet.

It is at that location Prophet Muhammad heard the Kalam of Allah, which is an attribute of the Self of Allah. He heard the Kalam of Allah which does not resemble our speech–so it is not something that occurs bit after bit. It is not letter after letter or a word that comes after another word. Rather, it is an attribute of Allah which is eternal and everlasting. It does not resemble our attributes. The Kalam of Allah has neither silence nor interruptions. It is an attribute of Allah, and it does not resemble the attributes of the creation.

The Prophet understood several things from hearing this Kalam of Allah. He understood the obligation of the five Obligatory Prayers. At first, Allah obligated fifty prayers. When Prophet Muhammad encountered Musa, Musa told him to make supplication (du’a) to his Lord to ease the obligation of fifty (50) prayers, because his nation could not handle that.

Musa said, “I have experience with the people of Israel, and I know your nation cannot bear that.”

So the Prophet asked his Lord to lessen these prayers for his people. Five prayers were eliminated.

Once again, Musa told the Prophet to ask Allah to lessen the number of prayers. Allah did.

Nine times the Prophet made supplication to Allah to lessen these prayers–until these prayers were lessened to five Obligatory Prayers.

So Prophet Musa was a great benefit to us. Had we been obligated to pray fifty prayers a day, this would have been a difficult matter for us.

From the Kalam of Allah, the Prophet also understood that a good deed would be written for the person who intends to do a good deed, even if he did not do it.

Also, the good deed performed would be registered for he who performs it as at least ten good deeds–up to 700 good deeds. For some people, Allah would multiply the reward of their deeds more than that.

Additionally, if one performs a bad deed, it is registered for him as one bad deed; yet for he who inclines towards committing a bad deed and then refrains from committing it, a good deed would be registered for him.

Here one should note the difference between two matters.

If a thought crossed a person’s mind about doing something sinful, and this person wavered in this thinking, i.e., considered whether he should do it or not, then he refrained from doing this for the sake of Allah, this is written as a good deed.

However, if a person has the firm intention in his heart that he wants to commit a sin, it would be written for him as a sin, even if he does not do it.

The Prophet Returns to Makkah

After all these matters took place with the Prophet, he returned to the city of Makkah. Some scholars said the Prophet’s journey took about one-third of the night, i.e., his journey from Makkah to Jerusalem, then to the heavens and what is above them, and then back to Makkah.

The next day the Prophet told the people what happened to him the previous night.

The blasphemers belied the Prophet and mocked him, saying, “We need a month to get there and back, and you are claiming to have done all this in one night?”

They said to Abu Bakr, “Look at what your companion is saying. He says he went to Jerusalem and came back in one night.”

Abu Bakr told them, “If he said that, then he is truthful. I believe him concerning the news of the heavens–that an angel descends to him from the heavens. How could I not believe he went to Jerusalem and came back in a short period of time–when these are on earth?”

At that, the Companion, Abu Bakr, was called “as-Siddiq”–because of how strongly he believed all what the Prophet said.

The blasphemous people questioned the Prophet: “If you are truthful, then describe to us Masjid al-Aqsa and its surroundings.”

They asked this because they knew Prophet Muhammad had never been there before the previous night.

Allah enabled the Messenger to see Masjid al-Aqsa, and he described the masjid and its surroundings in exact detail.

Moreover, the Prophet said, “On my way back, I saw some of your shepherds grazing their animals in a particular location. They were searching for a camel they had lost.”

The Prophet continued by giving the description of the camel. When these shepherds came back, they told their people what happened to them–precisely as the Prophet had already told them.

These blasphemers admitted the Prophet’s description was exact.

Despite that, they were still stubborn and rejected the faith. They did not accept Islam.

Only those whom Allah willed to be guided, will be guided. The person whom Allah did not will to be guided, will not believe–regardless of how much explanation or how many proofs he is shown.

The person whom Allah willed to be guided, surely he will be a believer. Many people witnessed miracles and still did not believe.

Many people witnessed the miracle of the Prophet’s splitting of the moon. Those who refused to embrace Islam said, “This is magic. Muhammad played a magic trick on our eyes.”

They even asked the people of a faraway land who witnessed the moon split in two. Despite this, they still did not believe.

They said, “The magic of Muhammad is powerful; it even reached the faraway lands!”

This was their response to witnessing a miracle–instead of believing and becoming Muslims.

We ask Allah that we would all die as Muslims. We ask Allah to bestow on us the bounty of entering Paradise without torture.

And Allah knows best.

Now, all these while, no one has been speaking about the first thing that Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam did upon being in the Presence of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala in the Arash above Jannatul Firdaus, the 7th Heaven at Paradise.

Upon witnessing the beauty and greatness of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, the very first words coming out of Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam, was ‘At-tahiyyatul-mubrakatus-salawatut-tayyibatu-Lillah’ meaning,’ All greetings that are blessed and all prayers that are good are due to Allah!‘

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala saluted His Beloved Prophet with,’ As-salamu ‘alaika ayyuhan Nabiyyu Wa Rahmatullahi Wabarakatuh!‘ meaning ‘ Peace be upon you, O Prophet and the Mercy and Blessings of Allah!’

The Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam responded with , ‘As-salamu alayna wa ‘ala ibadillah his salihin’ meaning ‘ Peace be upon us, and upon all righteous servants of Allah!’ sharing the Blessings of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala with all righteous Muslims.

The Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam then raised his forefinger and testified ‘ Ash hadu alla ilaha ill Allah!’ meaning ‘I bear witness that there is no god other than Allah!’

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala replied ,‘ Wa ash hadu anna Muhammad Rasul Allah!’ meaning ‘ I bear witness that (you) Muhammad is Allah’s Messenger.

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala then blesses the Prophet Muhammad with His Salawat ,’ Allahumma salli ala Muhammadiw wa ‘ala alihi Muhammad’ meaning ‘ Allah blesses Muhammad and the family of Muhammad!’

The Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam responds by honoring the Prophet Ibrahim and his family members (the Prophet’s forefathers -going back to the Prophet Ismail Alaihis Salam who is the first born of Prophet Ibrahim with his second wife Siti Hajar) ‘Kama sallayta ‘ala Ibrahim wa ‘ala alihi ‘Ibrahim’meaning ‘As You have bestowed Your Grace upon Ibrahim and upon his family!‘

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala blesses the Prophet Muhammad again with ‘ Wabarik ‘ala Muhammad wa ‘ala alihi Muhammad!‘ meaning ‘ Blessings upon Muhammad and family of Muhammad’.

The Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam then praises the Prophet Ibrahim and members of his family with ‘Kama barakta ‘ala Ibrahim wa ‘ala alihi Ibrahim!‘ meaning ‘ As You have blessed Ibrahim and his family!’.

The Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam caps it off with saluting Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala with ‘ Fil Alamina Innaka Hamidum Majid‘ meaning ‘ Truly in all the worlds, You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious!’

That is the significance of our reciting the Attahiyyat as the closing part of our solat.

We are re-enacting the Ascension of our Nabiyyil Karim Muhammad al Mustafa Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam to the Seven Heavens and then being granted Permission by Allah to be in His Glorious Presence.

Try visualising the experience of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam meeting Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala and imagine the impact of that meeting which we Muslims, billions of us repeat glorifying Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala and His Messenger Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam during our each solat whether it’s the fardhu solat or the sunnat prayers.

The solat is not only a manifestation of the importance of our spiritual ascension to the Presence of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala and in our understanding of our faith which is both a body and soul experience for us.

HELLO DEAR ALIENS AND MARTIANS!

Today is super duper heroic boring, hungry and also Idon'tknowwhattodo. So what have I done today? The laundry, checked! and... well that's all! Pfft!

But I'm sure at night I will be studying! :D Yes revising back my Engineering Mechanics. At least that will fill my time.

Well, to be honest, I still don't feel good after I found out something shocking and at times some doesn't understands you. Sigh. I really felt worst. My worst emotion ever and addition with a situation that worsen it. Oh my.. Oh well I'm hungry now! Bye bye! :D

These three pictures are my inspirational pictures that I look at whenever I think about my deen. Well I'm proud to be a muslim, I seriously do. Cos Islam is a religion that makes you develop or change for a better live. Such as? The prohibitions are a lot and all of them are for our own good. We are prohibited from drinking intoxicants, smoking and etc. Why? Because they are harmful to us and cause destruction in our body.

As in the Quran, Allah says : 'And do not kill yourselves, Allah is indeed merciful to you' (Quran 4:29) and 'Do not cast yourselves, with your own hands, into destruction' (Quran 2:195)

As you know smoking is harmful to your body and many may have missed out this verses or they might not have heard of it or know about it. But as you know in this modern world, when a humble advise being said, they just tend to look away and pretended they did not heard of it.

Furthermore, the one who inhale the smoke of the cigarette is more harmful than the one who puff it. And Prophet pbuh said 'Do not harm yourself or others' (Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Majah)

So this is something I would like to share. If you find it something good to note on then do so, if not then let it be so. Be wise and choose your path, as I've chosen mine. :D

On the 8th, it was a great day and a very well spent. Met up with someone very dear to me, someone whom I've not met for months and it was a great excitement when we got to meet again.

It was a great day and moments I really treasure it. Oh and I think I wanna get that atar smell like caramel at town! XD It was eye pleasing to see more smiles from you and your EEEK EEEK EEEK laughters. Hahahaha XD And I would like to say Thank you for the day.

I hope you like the chewy juniors! Sedap kan? HAHAHA XD the peach tea drink, the arcade hockey table game, the ball points game and the 3D thingy at Iluma! And.. You know you know the rest of the activities right. And I hope to see you again and if akak free, join sekali la! Hahaha XD

I went to an ukhti's blog. I was surprised by her inspiration to be a better person. As she went to a place and heard something beautiful about Islam and she felt that there is a need for her to change. I was smiling and I didn't realized that my eyes were getting wet. Cos she was someone close to me and I'm really grateful that you found the hidayah to make your life better and find the peace that you are searching for that you can't really find it, if you don't search for it and feel it. May Allah be with you and bless you. Amiin. ;) Just so you know, I'm proud of you. I really do. :)

As for me, life has been much more peaceful, beautiful and better. I've never felt something so calm and ease. As life is better each day and it pass so fast. But one thing for sure is that each day is a learning day for me despite the holidays, I can't bear to let it pass with an empty slot.

Well went for 5B raya yesterday and was great! :D Despite the there were only 8 of us still it was fun, and it feels so good to be with your old school mates, the lame jokes the laughters and bloopers each of us made. The warmth is still there, I can just feel it. Masha'allah!

Oh and I can't wait for Raya outing with Silat peeps! :D This Tuesday and Friday! So looking forward to it! :D

Something I would like to share. A chapter, the heart of Al Quran which is Surah Yasiin, that not only made me tears as I read the translation of it.
It is a warning and also a great awaken if you were to read its meaning. Still, some of us are in denial of our wrong doings and we listen to Satan
when it comes to our emotion and also our temptations and lust or nafs.

We know that the door of forgiveness is always open for us, As God is the Most Forgiving. Still we didn't take the opportunity to pray to him.
Do you know that if you pray 5 times a day, each pray is equals to 10 times, and if you pray 5 times a day it is equivalent to 50 times a day,
The number of prayers Allah assigned us to pray each day.
I hope that this short post will make us realized that we need to be a better person each day. :)

The Benefits and Virtues of Surah Ya-Sin ::
1. The Prophet () said, ‘Surely everything has a heart, and the heart of the Qur’an is Yasin. I would love that it be in the heart of every person of my people’
[Bazzar]. (S.Muhammad Ali Sabuni, Tafsir-al-Sabuni Vol.2)
2. The Prophet () said, ‘Whoever recites Yasin once Allah will record the reward of reciting the Qur’an ten times.‘
[Maqal, Tirmidhi 2812/A & Dhahabi]
3. It has been reported by Aisha (radiAllahu anha) that the Prophet () said that there is a surah in the Qur’an that intercedes for its reciter and forgive its listener. Know! It is Surah Yasin. It is called ‘Mu’amma’ in the Torah.
It was enquired, what is Mu’amma? The Prophet () said, ‘it embraces the person with the goodness of this world and removes the dismay of the Hereafter’
[Hashiya of Tafsir Jalalalayn , pg 368].
4. On the authority of Ma’qil ibn Yasar from the Prophet () said, ‘Recite Yasin on your deceased’
[Abu Dawud, Nasa’I,Ibn Maja]

5. The Prophet () said, ‘Whoever recited Surah Yasin in the night seeking Allah’s pleasure, Allah would forgive him’

Peace be upon you ALIENS AND MARTIANS! HAHAHAHAHAHA XD

I have something to share with all of you! When I was at RYC camp, one of the Ustaz shared the consequences of leaving your solat. And I noted down, but it wasn't in a full sentences. Hence I search it on the net and Alhamdulillah I found this blogger, Mutalib Kassim's post about 'AKIBAT MENINGGALKAN SOLAT' which contains more than what I expected. So I would like to share what I've heard and searched. :D

I believe that some of us may still wonder why we have to pray 5 times a day and how it was reduced to 5 times a day instead of 50 times a day and etc. Well I've read this 'Galian Isra' dan mi'raj by Habsah senin. It tells more than what we may have heard about isra' mi'raj, but once I've read the book which is still halfway through, Masha'allah, I was amazed with the greatness of Allah and what our Prophet pbuh saw and experienced throughout his journey. I will share some of the things happened when Propeht pbuh on his journey to mi'raj.

For now! Let's look at what I would like to share with you. Well how this is something that will make us realised of how many times we have forgotten the one who created us. The one who we seek forgiveness, still we did the same mistake and ask for forgiveness over and over again, still God forgive us cos God is Most forgiving. How could we not just fulfil our fardu of praying 5 times a day, to praise him, to be appreciative of what God has given us, the ni'mat in this world. Astaghfirullah..

First of all, the consequences of not praying is in Malay language. So hope you don't mind teehee! :D

AKIBAT MENINGGALKAN SOLAT

SIKSAAN KETIKA HIDUP DI DUNIA

1. Allah swt. mengurangkan keberkatan umurnya
2. Rezekinya dipersempitkan oleh Allah swt.
3. Tidak ada tempat baginya di sisi agama Islam
4. Hilang cahaya soleh dari wajahnya
5. Amal kebajikan yang dilakukannya langsung tidak diberi pahala

SIKSAAN KETIKA SAKHARATUL MAUT

1. Ia akan menghadapi sakharatul maut dalam keadaan hina
2. Matinya dalam keadaan menderita kelaparan
3. Matinya dalam keadaan yang tersangat haus walaupun diberi minum air sebayak tujuh lautan

SIKSAAN KETIKA DALAM KUBUR

1. Allah swt. akan menyempitkan kuburnya dengan sesempit-sempitnya
2. Kuburnya akan digelapkan
3. Allah swt. akan menyiksanya dengan pedih sehingga hari Qiamat

SIKSAAN KETIKA BERADA DI AKHIRAT

1. Ia akan dibelenggu dan diseret ke padang Mashyar oleh Malaikat
2. Allah swt. tidak akan memandangnya dengan pandangan belas kasihan
3. Allah swt. tidak akan mengampuni dosanya dan dia akan disiksa dengan keras di dalam neraka

(9) NISBAH DOSA MENINGGALKAN SEMBAHYANG

(i) Sembahyang Subuh
Ia akan disiksa selama 60 tahun di dalam Neraka (bersamaan 60,000 tahun dunia)

(ii) Sembahyang Zuhur
Dosanya seperti membunuh 1000 jiwa orang Islam

(iii) Sembahyang Asar
Dosanya seperti ia meruntuhkan Kaabah

(iv) Sembahyang Maghrib
Dosanya seperti ia berzina dengan ibunya (bagi lelaki) atau dengan ayahnya (bagi perempuan)

(v) Sembahyang Isyak
Allah swt. tidak redha ia hidup di bumi Allah swt. ini dan digesa agar ia mencari bumi lain

Well I know it's been ages, centuries, eras and etc that I last blog about. So what makes me wanna blog today is something we always love to assume in life when we are down and feel that things are always unfair to us.

I must say, majority might say that life is unfair whenever they feel so down about themselve. But to think it again, its not unfair but life has always been a balance. It's us who change it, unbalance it, and also lead it to something we doesn't expect to happen to us but it did.

As a person who is born with akal,we are given a brain to think and also to analyse our doings and behaviours. God created us to think think think! We don't just do it like how nike say, Just do it. But we are to think a far, foresee what will happened if we do this and that. We are planners but God consent it. Still, if we chose the right path in life, things will be on the right track insya'Allah. It is us who chose the direction and we pray that we will be on the track that gives us fortune.

'Indeed, Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change it themselves(beginning from the heart)'
Surah Ar-Ra'd: verse 11

So please don't assume that life is unfair. It is you who made it unfair in your life and if you are feeling emotionally depressed seek help from God and pray to him for guidance and showing you the light for the right path in life. Cos you all know that in life, there are many challenges awaits for us to meet em.

Fret not my dear brothers and sisters in Islam :) Ramadhan is left with 10 more days and let yourself search for the truth in you and what you are really seek. Shower yourself with ibadah and amal that will not only help you feel calm but also feel that life is more than just living in it. There are reasons behind it as God created us with a reason and if you find yourself awake tomorrow that means that God still wants you to keep on searching of what you are looking for. Cos God is always fair.

Wallahualam.. :) I may not be good with words here and there but I would like to share my thoughts with some of you that we shouldn't be ego to ourself and listening to our Nafs and also be controlled by our emotion to much. Instead we should keep our prayers up and never fail to make a doa after our prayers. As we doa, we asked for his guidance and etc. But every doa comes with an effort to it.

Well that's all i would like to share with you brothers and sisters :) Bare with me with my language cos yes I know I'm not that superbly good with it. But I tried my best. :) I'm not a scholar or knows much but I share what I've learnt, heard and read.

THIS YEAR RAMADHAN.. WILL IT BE JUST LIKE THE PAST RAMADHAN? OR WILL IT BE A BETTER THAN THE PAST RAMADHAN?

RAMADHAN IS ONLY ONCE IN A YEAR, AND ALSO YOU WOULDN'T KNOW IF YOU WERE TO MEET RAMADHAN AGAIN..

SO WHY NOT WE MAKE THIS YEAR RAMADHAN A BETTER RAMADHAN! ;D

I BELIEVE SOME OF YOU HAVE THE URGE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE OR A CHANGE, BUT YOU FEEL THAT A 100POUND OF LOAD IS ON YOU PREVENTING YOU FROM DOING SO.. AND SO TAKE THIS CHANCE, THIS MOMENT TO LIFT THAT LOAD UP AND MAKE A MOVE, A SIMPLE STEP TO BE BETTER PERSON EACH DAY.

IT DOESN'T NEED TO BE A MAJOR CHANGE, BUT START WITH A SMALL CHANGE, EXAMPLE, STOP SAYING VULGARITIES WHEN BAD THINGS HAPPENED OR CAME ACROSS YOU, INSTEAD WE SAY, "ASTAGHFIRULLAH."

WHEN WE ARE SAYING PRAISES OF ALLAH, IT SHOWS THAT WE REMEMBER ALLAH, AND ALLAH WILL REMEMBER US TOO. INSYA'ALLAH, WE WILL FEEL THE CALM AND EASE AND THE GUIDANCE FROM ALLAH.

AND THIS RAMADHAN..OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS ARE WILLING TO HELP ONE ANOTHER WITHOUT ASKING ANYTHING FOR RETURN.

On the 21st July was my mum's big day! HAHAHA HER BIRTHDAY! HAHAHA So and Danish drew this for her. LOL

Alright waited for MUMMY! to return from work, so Hafiz bought the peppermint brownie cake, its the nicest thing okay! HAHAHA So yeah, mum was like shocked cos on Sunday we celebrated her birthday at Arnold, City Plaza. We had spring chickens and dessert, banana split and Ice kacang! HAHAHA

So she was a touched that we still bought the cake and didn't go for training, of course it's the QUEEN LATIFAH's birthday okay! HAHAHA XD

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY! HAHAHAHA XD

So what happened yesterday dude? Well, last night, right after I'm done with my project till 7.30ish, waited for Anisah since she just finised her class too. So we headed and supported Mai! Mai is a great goalie OKAY! She jumped better than you can expect from a girl. :D You go MAINISAH! HAHAHAHAHA XD

While watching the game, I drew Mai as the goalie and the ITE girl shooting in the penalty box. HAHAHA! The field was drawn by Azhar! :D Mai! Hope you like it! :D I'll put this in facebook! :D HAHAHAHA XD

So early on the day, Anisah and I went for lunch and I can't finished my lunch, like wth? *insert the face -.-"* HAHAHAHA! Cos my tummy just crank up. TSK! Hate it when that happens.

Right after lunch we headed off to the gym! Since I told Anisah I will help her work out and getting her in shape. Cheyyy HAHAHAHAHA! Tak lama lagi orang tu le kick mcm kuda eh! HAHAHAHAHAHA XD

ADAB MENDENGAR AZAN

Kematian itu pasti menjelma. Hanya masa dan waktunya yang tidak kita ketahui.

Cuba kita amati mengapa kebanyakan orang yg nazak, hampir ajal tidak dapat berkata apa-apa? Lidahnya kelu, keras dan hanya mimik mukanya yang menahan kesakitan ' sakaratul maut'.

Diriwayatkan sebuah hadis yg bermaksud: 'Hendaklah kamu mendiamkan diri ketika azan, jika tidak Allah akan kelukan lidahnya ketika maut menghampirinya.'

Ini jelas menunjukkan, kita disarankan agar mendiamkan diri, jangan berkata apa-apa pun semasa azan berkumandang . Sebagai orang beragama Islam kita wajib menghormati azan. Banyak fadhilatnya. Jika lagu kebangsaan kita diajar agar berdiri tegak dan diamkan diri. Mengapa ketika azan kita tidak boleh mendiamkan diri?

Lantas sesiapa yang berkata-kata ketika azan, Allah akan kelukan lidahnya ketika nazak. Kita takut dengan kelunya lidah kita semasa ajal hampir tiba maka kita tidak dapat mengucap kalimah 'Lailahaillallah.' yang mana sesiapa yang dapat mengucapkan kalimah ini ketika nyawanya akan dicabut Allah dgn izinNya menjanjikan syurga untuk mereka.

Dari itu marilah kita sama-sama menghormati azan dan mohon kepada Allah supaya lidah ini tidak kelu semasa nyawa kita sedang dicabut.

'Ya Allah! Anugerahkanlah kematian kami dengan kematian yang baik lagi mulia, lancarkan lidah kami mengucap kalimah 'Lailahaillallah' semasa sakaratul maut menghampiri kami.. Amin.. amin... amin Yarobbala'lamin. .'

So I hope this is something good that I can share with you ALIENS AND MARTIANS! As I have a knowledge and you have one, we share and both have two knowledge. :D

It took me like 1 week to do it at home cos I'm clueless and not good at Pro Engineering. However I keep on trying to do on every way to get the shape of it! HAHAHA XD

So off to school meet the others and completed it for 4 hours! COOL OR WHAT! Thanks to Firdaus who helped me on the planes and etc. :D FINALLY DONE WITH IT! AND NOW I CAN'T STOP PLAYING WITH PRO E. XD

And I must say this, mine was the easiest compared to the others model design. HAHAHAHAHAHA! XD

So today was Bollywood day for me and Shiring and Anisah! HAHAHAHA! XD So watched Rab ne bana di jodi at library since Anisah brought the CD and sorry ladies to keep you girls waiting for me! HU HU HUU HAHAHAHA XD

So Anisah stayed a while before she off to her class and left with me and Shirin! HAHA Midz and Fana and Atiqah were there too! But nope they are not watching Rab ne. So I've been dying to see this movie okay!

I memorized partially of the lyrics, Haule haule and tujh mein rab dikhta hai. Both are my favourite songs dude! HAHAHA XD

I had a bad day earlier today okay! Was late for Engineering Design class as I've to do alien business in the loo vuitton! Then missed the FREE! Shuttle bus and silly me, I forgot to cash in my wallet and lucky my younger brother brought extra money, if not alahai tak dapat mkn lunch with Anicha Rai. HAHAHAHAHA! XD Inside joke LOL! XD

So yeah, Shah Rukh khan is a great actor! And inspired by his Surinder sahni hairstyle! HUA HUA HUAAA! HAHAHAHAA! o.O

I really love his songs, his voice really made me pressing that replay button over and over again! Hahaha
